Bidding Rules & Guidelines
Please read these rules carefully before participating in auctions.
All bidders must be registered and logged in to place bids.
Treat all members of the Mantis plant Auctions community with respect.
Any form of harassment, shill bidding, or bid manipulation is strictly prohibited and will result in account suspension.
Bids must be placed in the currency specified (Rand).
Each bid must be higher than the current highest bid by at least the minimum bid increment (if specified).
Once a bid is placed, it is considered a binding contract. Bid retractions are generally not allowed unless in exceptional circumstances and with admin approval.
The highest bidder at the end of the auction wins the item.
To ensure fair bidding for all participants, Mantis plant Auctions employs an anti-sniper mechanism.
If a bid is placed within the last 2 minutes of an auction, the auction end time will be automatically extended by an additional 2 minutes from the time the bid was placed.
This process will continue until no bids are placed during the final 2-minute period. This gives everyone a fair chance to place their final bids.
Winning bidders will be notified via email and must complete payment within 48 hours.
Sellers are responsible for accurately describing shipping costs and methods. Buyers are responsible for paying shipping costs unless otherwise specified.
Failure to complete payment may result in account penalties or suspension.
